I cannot seem to thank my friend enough for having introduced the most awesome female band in the whole world – Haim.
I don’t even know these people but the moment I put on that headset in my ears I was immediately transported into a different world. That first instance of hearing their songs and voices, I know I’m a goner.
I have never realized until I heard them that this is the kind of music that I wanted in my entire life. I am not exaggerating things. I have listened to a wide variety of songs and artists since time immemorial. I have watched live performances and even tried listening to foreign songs with lyrics that I can’t understand. With this exposure to different song genre, I have found those who made me fall in love, made me excited, made me happy as well as made me sad. However, I have never been this crazy and so engrossed with a band.
The kind of music that they create is really unique and wonderful. There is this vintage feel in their music that makes you experience and relive the magic from the past.
I have not yet scrutinized the lyrics of their songs, but watching them perform with passion and without any trace of inhibitions are enough to make my heart flutter.
They are music geniuses. With the touch of their hands, a mere tambourine can transform in an incredible percussion instrument. Their voices are that of a modern angel that cradle your ears.
They are unique. They have their own style. They don’t need to go to the extent of copying other artists to show their talents. They are the real deal. They have their own music. They have their own genre.
They are one of the most inspiring women in the world that will make every girl in the universe very proud.
I know these seem to be too much for a compliment for a band that I barely know. I don’t even know their names. All I know are the titles and lyrics of their songs and the sound of their voices. But this does not prevent me to like them so much. They are the first band who made realized that love at first sound is possible. And I can’t seem to get enough of them.

Haim is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of sisters Este Arielle (born March 14, 1986), Danielle Sari (born February 16, 1989) and Alana Mychal Haim (born December 15, 1991) along with drummer Dash Hutton, son of Danny Hutton and previously a member of the bands Wires on Fire and Slang Chicken.
